Rural Community	- English Language Arts 30-1 - Mathematics 30-1 or 30-2* - Biology 30 - Chemistry 30 - One approved course or option at the 30 level	Supplementary Essay	Admission into this route requires applicants reside in Alberta and within 120 km of the community at the time of application and for the duration of the program. For further details about communities see Rural Community Route.
Schulich School of Engineering
	Regular admission route: - English Language Arts 30-1 - Mathematics 30-1 - Mathematics 31 - Chemistry 30 - Physics 30 Biology-based admission route: - English Language Arts 30-1 - Mathematics 30-1 - Mathematics 31 - Chemistry 30 - Biology 30		If Mathematics 31 was not attempted, the final admission average will be a minimum of 5% higher. Mathematics 31 will be replaced with another approved course. Admission offers via the Biology-based admission route are conditional on successful completion of the Schulich School of Engineering Summer Bioengineering Institute prior to the start of the engineering program.
Science

Approved Options

Approved options are listed on the UCalgary admissions website: https://www.ucalgary.ca/future-students/undergraduate/approved-options.

Locally developed courses may be added or removed as curriculum revisions are made. Course outlines can be sent to the Associate Registrar, Information, Admissions and Recruitment for assessment.

Options from the approved list will be combined (if required) to fulfill one approved option requirement (5 or 6 credits) using the courses with the higher grades first.

Intermediate and Advanced Credits cannot be combined to satisfy a course requirement.
